Food will be provided only if you reserve food early. Another reason is that there are only like three hotels in the town. The staff promised us to increase the services. The thing is that if you have to get a coffee in the morning you may have to walk like 50 metres to get it. But overall ok. This location is at Mankulam, around thirty km from Munnar. From Munnar, it takes about 1.5 hours to get here. Google Maps directed me to take the route that passes through Letchmi Tea Estate in order to get to this resort from Munnar. This road is extremely narrow and difficult to drive because of larger vehicles approaching from the opposite direction. We discovered a different, easier-to-drive route via Kallar the following day. If you are not a local and have made a reservation at this resort, ensure that you will be arriving at the resort via Kallar and not through Letchmi Tea Estate. The meal is wonderful, but you have to order it in advance. The resort's location offers a nice view and is surrounded by mountains. There's a stream that runs through the resort; we went in the summer, so there wasn't much of a stream, but when it rains, it gets really good, it must be a fun spot to go with kids and stuff. Mr. Keerthi Kumar arrange a jeep(extra charge) for our sightseeing; in mountainous areas, it's best to hire a private vehicle as local drivers are familiar with the routes and anticipate heavy traffic on weekends.
